AI is a very real thing. AI’s presence is being felt more in advanced technologies today and the growing need of AI assisting in certain actions. Kelsey shares that it is important to be serious about AI, no matter if you are optimistic, pessimistic, or a realist. (Kelsey, pg. 53-54, 2018) Data is important to gather to understand what direction the world is taking from AI. AI is taking shape within various sectors of the business world, and it is important to take control of it before it takes control.
Society must learn to adopt and adapt to AI as it becomes fluid with all parts of technology and life. The transformation that society is going through is moving rapidly as business is finding more needs from AI to shape their products/services. It becomes imperative that businesses should embrace AI, albeit carefully, and monitor each level that AI is needed for their business. A computer-generated program with its own method of thinking can be beneficial to develop the next level a company needs. The fear of AI removing humans from certain positions can be true, however, if one was to adept in AI, stronger and better paying jobs can be created to ensure that AI is well controlled and functioning within its requirements.
