Week 6 - MBA 6101 - Ascend Your Start-Up

 As any entrepreneur, one lives with a dream of being successful and creating an impact on society. Whether it’s a game changing product or a beneficial service that can change one’s life, that dream keeps the entrepreneur going. However, what about the process? The dream is a strong motivator, but the energy and effort go into the steps taken to accomplish that dream. As Yu shares, one needs a roadmap and to be well prepared to take on the hurdles and challenges ahead to reach their goals (Yu, pg. 123, 2021) Being aware of the roadmap helps lay out the entire process that will occur to develop customers and interest. 

In the same mindset, it’s important to identify strengths first. Strengths allow one to understand what they are good at; what allows them to function as successfully as they do. Taking these strengths, one can use them towards their weaknesses and find ways to strengthen them. At times, the knowledge needed for certain processes will not be known and that is okay. At that point, it is more important to find the people that do have that knowledge and hire them. Working to have all the right cards in your hand will tremendously help the company reach higher levels quicker than expected. It’s important to set yourself up right.
